I started doing mosaic as a hobby in 2004. After my first lesson I was totally addicted! I am self-taught, read many books about all sorts of mosaics around the world. I learned purely by experimenting with all kinds of materials. From ceramic tiles to mirror ,glass, stone and anything that glue will be able to stick to a piece.
I am passionate about it and do anything I can put my hands to. I did so for a few years in my garage and had so many pieces that I started giving it away to all my friends and family.
I normally do not design specific pieces. When I start something I just let my mind flow and it creates itself. I love using colours to make the pieces come alive and mirror pieces are used in most of my works. So anything that stands still too long might become my next mosaic creation!!
Many of my pieces are all over the country. I have done several commissions, although my absolute favourite and preferred mosaics are the smaller deco pieces for the home, office, gardens and gifts with a special meaning to the persons who order.
What I enjoy very much is giving workshops and creating pieces with children and all beginners, young or old. I love to introduce them to this special kind of art. It is very calming and therapeutic for all!
